In view of the disturbing news in regard to the evolution of the Corona Virus across all continents and the associated uncertainty, we are not able to evaluate the risk for our employees and business partners. For that reason, we refuse our participation at the Cologne Hardware Fair this year.

Since the foundation of our family business 1973 we take an active part at this major fair of our market segment each time.

This fair is for NWS the world’s leading exhibition and stands for innovations and market trends as well as for a competition barometer and trend indicator. 

The international market square as meeting place for us as manufactures, businessmen, media and technology enthusiast.

Personal interaction alleged his unbeatable character until today.  

This four trade fair days are the tension curve for all activities, like no other event within the year.  

The ultimate highlight. 

This fair exists due to high quality discussions from persons to persons, exceptionally not digital and not by pushing a button. So it was approx. 3 weeks ago. 

The falling overs news and not very conductive proclamations regarding the Corona virus, in particular the risk of infection and effective protective measures for everybody, caused, besides the facts: 75.285 infected individuals, 2.009 dead people over 26 countries ( Ref.: WHO 16.02.20 4:00 p.m.), a wave of uncertainty.

If countries impose travel bans, whole landscapes with millions of population are closed off or infected people will be separated, our arguments can’t be a disinfectant dispenser and a war of a mouthguard is a believable prevention for our employees and fair visitors.

For the good of all, in particular the intent of responsibility for a good coexistence and a respectful relationship of all ethical codes, we are staying away from this event. 

A postponement of this fair, upon secured knowledge to a later time, is from our point of view a chance for all interest representatives. NWS is present and shows the Cologne fair the well-known close alliance.
